I bought this to clean up after sanding to prep for painting. It did that very well and not only that, but I peeled some duct tape off and tested it out on the left over adhesive. And it took that right off too. I though I was going to have to use Goop, but this worked great.

Best there is! I use this product for everything: spray bottle, wipe on rag, prepping surfaces, checking work, you name it. I use this on metal, urethane primer, plastic, polyester primer, and yes even body filler and glazing putty to both prep and check my work for waves and straightness. I highly enjoy this product because it is mostly naphtha based and like the old timers who still swear by using straight charcoal lighter fluid for the naphtha in it, Prep-All works, but significantly better. This stuff evaporates very quickly from glazing putties, fillers, primer, metal, any surface. When using on filler/glaze or polyprimer I just wait longer to let the solvents dry out before topcoating abd I have never had any problems with any adhesion failure, solvent pop/bubbling, or blistering paint. The combination of naphtha, mineral spirits, and whatever else it has is perfect. Never leaves any residue, dries fast, leaves the surface completely clean. Perfect for restorations.

This is great stuff. I have used it for years for paint prep and cleaning. Because of VOC regulations it has become impossible for me to find it locally. I tried some of the other prep alternatives from Duplicolor and Rustoleum. One of them says it is soy based. Anyway this is solvent based and is flammable so it actually does the job and works. Great for removing silicone residue as well as oils, sap, waxes and polish and many other contaminates. Great product.
