Evercoat

Evercoat began as Fibre-Glass Evercoat in 1953, when their first formulations were developed in Cincinnati and sold throughout the US, primarily to the marine market. Shortly after 1953, they recognized the need for good quality primers and fillers for the automotive aftermarket, and began marketing Evercoat products designed for use on automotive body repair.

In 1995 ITW acquired Evercoat. ITW (Illinois Tool Works) is a Fortune 200 Company listed on the NYSE. Over the years, Evercoat has invested heavily in technology, allowing them to be first to market with many leading products. Rage ® was the first stain-free body filler, Quantum 1® was the first 10:1 filler technology and Rage Ultra™ is the first filler using Eco Resin™, an environmentally friendly resin which also provides superior sanding capabilities. Now Evercoat leads the industry in the use of “green” technology. Additionally they have been first to market with high build polyester primers, polyester glazing putty, light weight pourable glazing putty, unique packaging, direct to paint and time-saving body repair SOPs. Many of their unique formulas are patented.

Evercoat has a wide range of additional products which have been developed for the domestic and global body repair industry, including adhesives, spray filler, plastic repair and ancillary products.

Resins and other critical components are sourced in the U.S. The manufacturing is based in Cincinnati, OH, with sales and marketing offices in Ohio, Brazil, UK, Spain and China. Evercoat have distribution centers in Ohio, California, Brazil, UK, Spain and China.
