POR-15 40204, Metal Prep Rust Remover

POR-15 40204, Metal Prep Rust Remover provides the best adhesion for POR-15 Rust Preventative Paints and is designed for all types of metal surfaces, including aluminum and shiny polished metal. Our simple process gently etches metal while creating an ideal anchor pattern for coatings such as POR-15 Rust Preventative Paints. Metal Prep leaves a zinc phosphate coating to insure a chemical bond between paint and the metal surface. Avoid using other prep treatments that may leave harmful residues and can prevent proper adhesion.

After thoroughly degreasing the surface using 40104 Cleaner Degreaser, apply environmentally safe Metal Prep to neutralize any remaining rust and etch all clean bare metal. This will allow for maximum adhesion of POR-15 Rust Preventative Paint or any other paint or primer.
